IGCP 714: GEOCLIMBING TO MEET AT PROGEO SYMPOSIUM

Delegates at the ProGEO Symposium 2023 are invited to join a fringe meeting on the topic of Geoclimbing in Geoparks.

The meeting will be part of the regular meetings that help coordinate International Geoscience Programme Project 714: 3GEO – Geoclimbing & Geotrekking in Geoparks. The group will be meeting 4-5pm on Monday 9th October in the Beacon Room, Loughborough Town Hall. A number of Project partner will be joining the meeting remotely. Any delegates attending the Symposium who are interested are welcome to join in. Topics being discussed include:

• News from the participants

• Status of the manuscript to be submitted to GEOHERITAGE journal

• Discussion on the report from UNESCO and residual budget

• Update about the implementation of the WebGIS based on the Sketchfab account
